What’s the job?
As Payroll Manager, you’ll report to the Head of People Operations and play a key role in managing day-to-day payroll functions across APAC, while supporting our global People and leadership teams. This role combines operational excellence with strategic support, including system management and reporting responsibilities.
**You will**:

- Respond to escalated employee and leader enquiries, providing guidance on payroll, policies, benefits, and local legislation.
- Administer People-related procedures and policies to meet both global and local business needs, including payroll processing and audit compliance.
- Deliver quarterly and annual global payroll reports.
- Manage payroll-related EFT and Accounts Payable processing.
- Lead or support Payroll and People project implementations.
- Liaise with external vendors to ensure smooth operations.
- Partner with HR Controls Analysts and People Business Partners to support broader People initiatives.

What are we looking for?
- Extensive experience in payroll processing and award interpretation across Australia, New Zealand, and at least one Asian country.
- Deep understanding of legislative and tax processes in the above regions.
- Proven success in managing multiple company and system integrations.
- A degree in Accounting or Business, or 7+ years of hands-on payroll experience.
- Experience working within a global organization and with enterprise HRIS platforms (e.g., SuccessFactors).
- Exposure to global payroll processing is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills in deadline-driven environments.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Experience managing external providers and government departments for legislative reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (intermediate to advanced level).
