We have an exciting opportunity for a** Regional Accountant** to join ABL Group in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. If you are an accounting professional and solution-oriented with an eye for detail, then this could be you.

**What will you be doing?**

As a Regional Accountant, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of accounting functions for the Longitude engineering business segment. As an independent contributor, you will manage end-to-end finance operations and support the business needs of Longitude across the APAC region. In addition, you will also:

- Manage and maintain all day-to-day finance activities, full set of accounts, including payables to payments, project revenue accounting to receivables and reconciliations to reporting.
- Ensure timely monthly account close, including preparation and review of P&L, balance sheet, KPIs and WIP
- Support budgeting and quarterly forecasting, monthly cash flow forecasting and credit control activities
- Prepare and process payroll, including employment income tax submission
- Process payments to employees, freelancers, and office suppliers
- Manage unbilled revenue and ensure regular invoicing to clients
- Liaise with auditors on year-end statutory accounts and audit schedules
- Liaise with tax agent and corporate secretary on annual filings
- Manage leave records for Singapore-based staff
- Act as a finance business partner for regional management in proposals and tenders on ad-hoc basis
- And other duties as assigned

The position will be based in **Kuala Lumpur; Malaysia** and you must have the right to live and work in Malaysia. Flexibility to work hours from time to time may be required.

**What are we looking for?**

To thrive in this role, you will be an experienced Regional Accountant with hands-on experience and robust background in accounting, coupled with a deep understanding of financial standards, practices, and procedures. Your keen attention to detail will be paramount. Additionally, you should possess exceptional communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills. In addition, you will have:

- Degree in Accounting/Finance; ACCA, CIMA, or CA qualified
- 5+ years’ experience in consultancy or service-based roles
- Proficient in full set of accounts and statutory compliance (Singapore)
- Strong grasp of accounting standards, P&L, cost/management accounting, and reconciliations
- Experienced in audit, payroll, budgeting, reporting, AP/AR
- Knowledge of APAC tax (sales, employee, corporate)
- Advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups); PowerBI and Microsoft Office
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and professional with high integrity
- Strong communication and stakeholder management across regions
- Self-motivated, analytical, and adaptable in dynamic environments

**Desirable**:

- Familiar with NetSuite and financial reporting tools
- Commercially aware; able to guide non-finance teams on financial impact
- Experience with inter-company transactions, project costing, WIP tracking
- Skilled in process improvement and change management
- Curious, committed to learning, and capable of managing teams
