**Role Overview**
The Director of Restaurant Operations is responsible for the overall operational health, consistency, and performance of all JIBRIL outlets and the central kitchen — ensuring smooth daily execution, team accountability, and long-term scalability.
You will lead the General Managers and Outlet Managers, working hand-in-hand with the Executive Chef (who oversees kitchen-side recipe and food quality). Your mandate is to build reliable systems, empower outlet leadership, maintain high service standards, and ensure each outlet achieves its performance and quality goals.

**Key Responsibilities**
1. **Outlet Leadership & Performance**
- Oversee the daily operations of all outlets, working through General Managers to ensure smooth, efficient, and consistent service execution.
- Set and track clear KPIs for each outlet — including sales targets, service scores, audit ratings, and cost benchmarks.
- Visit outlets regularly to monitor performance, address issues, and support execution.
2. **People Management & Team Structure**
- Lead, train, and support General Managers to be accountable, solutions-driven leaders.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and development for outlet managers and FOH and BOH teams.
- Enforce performance management practices, including regular reviews, progressive discipline, and reward systems.
- Align outlet staffing structure with business needs and operational efficiency.
3. **Operational Systems & Execution**
- Implement and continuously improve systems for daily opening/closing, inventory, guest feedback tracking, and shift scheduling.
- Drive operational consistency across locations, ensuring SOPs and brand standards are applied without deviation.
- Track and improve speed of service, cleanliness, order accuracy, and customer satisfaction scores.
4. **Audit & Quality Assurance**
- Establish and lead structured internal audit systems across outlets, covering:
- Service standards
- Cleanliness and hygiene
- Guest experience
- Review mystery shopper feedback, CCTV where necessary, and customer complaints — converting data into training or disciplinary action.
5. **Cross-Functional Collaboration**
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef, ensuring kitchen SOPs and food quality expectations are implemented and upheld at outlet level.
- Partner with Finance to monitor cost efficiency, reduce wastage, and review outlet P&L performance.
- Work with Marketing and Product teams to prepare outlets for new campaigns, launches, and promotions.
- Coordinate with HR on policy enforcement, payroll issues, and staff-related matters.
6. **Reporting & Communication**
- Submit structured weekly reports to the Founders on:
- Outlet performance
- Staff issues or turnover
- Operational bottlenecks
- Recommendations for improvements or strategic changes
- Serve as the Founders’ eyes and ears on-ground, flagging issues early and executing solutions swiftly.
7. **Expansion & Scalability**
- Lead operational setup for new outlets — including team hiring, training rollout, and opening procedures.
- Ensure current systems are scalable and stress-tested to support future growth.

**What We’re Looking For**
**Experience**
- 5+ years in a senior operations role within a multi-outlet F&B brand
- Proven success in managing outlet managers or GMs across multiple locations
- Experience implementing systems, audits, and scaling operations
**Leadership**
- Strategic yet hands-on — able to coach leaders, manage crises, and enforce accountability
- Confident communicator with presence, emotional intelligence, and strong decision-making skills
**Operational Knowledge**
- Strong command of restaurant operations, labour management, basic financials, and audit systems
- Familiarity with Malaysian F&B regulations and customer service norms
**Travel**
- Willing to travel between Klang Valley and Johor outlets as needed (weekly ground presence required, except Johor which is less frequent)
