**Job Purpose**:
We are seeking an experienced **General Counsel** to oversee all legal matters within our organization. In this critical leadership role, you will ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, provide strategic legal advice, mitigate risks, and support corporate initiatives. You will manage contracts, corporate governance, litigation, and regulatory matters, safeguarding the company’s interests while enabling business success.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Provide expert legal advice and support to the leadership team and Board of Directors on legal and regulatory matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the company’s interests.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards.
- Develop and implement legal strategies to mitigate risks and align with business objectives.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings, including litigation, arbitration, and regulatory matters.
- Manage relationships with external legal counsel and oversee the legal budget.
- Monitor and advise on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the business.
- Conduct legal due diligence on transactions, partnerships, and other corporate matters.
- Support the human resources team with legal aspects of employment matters, including compliance and dispute resolution.
- Perform additional tasks or projects as assigned by the CEO, Board of Directors, or senior leadership.

**Key Skills and Qualifications**:

- Extensive experience as a legal counsel, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Strong expertise in corporate law, contract law, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven track record in managing legal risks, disputes, and litigation.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly and effectively to non-legal stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Pay: From RM5,500.00 per month
