Scrum Master

Key Responsibilities:
**1.Facilitate Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Planning, and Retrospectives for the Team**
- Lead daily stand-up meetings to ensure team members share updates, identify challenges, and align on daily goals.
- Organize and facilitate sprint planning sessions to define sprint goals, select backlog items, and estimate tasks.
- Conduct retrospective meetings at the end of each sprint to review team performance, identify improvement opportunities, and celebrate achievements.

**2.Ensure Scrum Practices and Agile Principles Are Followed Throughout the Project**
- Act as a guardian of Scrum processes, ensuring adherence to timeboxing, transparency, and iterative delivery.
- Educate team members and stakeholders on Agile values and Scrum practices to promote a shared understanding and commitment.

**3.Remove Obstacles or Challenges That May Hinder the Team’s Progress**
- Identify and address blockers or impediments faced by the team, such as technical dependencies or resource constraints.
- Collaborate with external teams or management to resolve issues that are outside the team's control.

**4.Collaborate with Product Owners to Prioritize and Manage the Product Backlog**
- Work closely with the product owner to ensure the backlog is well-maintained, with clear and prioritized user stories.
- Assist in refining backlog items by ensuring they are well-defined, sized, and meet the team’s definition of ready.

**5.Support Team Members in Continuous Improvement and Delivering Quality Work**
- Encourage a culture of learning and adaptability within the team by promoting skills development and knowledge sharing.
- Guide the team in adopting best practices, quality standards, and efficient workflows.

**6.Track and Report on Sprint Progress, Ensuring Deadlines Are Met**
- Use Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Trello) to monitor sprint progress, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
- Communicate sprint status and potential risks to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and timely updates.

**7.Foster Communication and Collaboration Within the Team and With Stakeholders**
- Facilitate open communication channels within the team to build trust and alignment.
- Act as a bridge between the development team, product owners, and external stakeholders to ensure expectations are aligned and feedback is shared.

**8.Help the Team Adapt to Changes and Improve Processes for Efficiency**
- Encourage flexibility and responsiveness to change, ensuring the team can adapt to shifting priorities or new information.
- Lead process improvement initiatives, leveraging team feedback and retrospectives to implement actionable changes.

**Qualifications**:

- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
- Excellent facilitation and conflict-resolution skills.
- Familiarity with Agile tools like Jira, Confluence, Trello, or similar.
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.

**Preferred**:

- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certification.
- Experience working in cross-functional or distributed teams.
- Knowledge of scaling Agile frameworks such as SAFe or LeSS.

**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
