Laboratory Assistant, Multi-disciplinary Laboratory

The Laboratory Assistant provides support to the Laboratory Technologist or Senior Laboratory Technologist in ensuring adequacy of laboratory pre-requisites for the efficient and smooth running of all laboratory practical sessions in MDLs which includes involvement in the set-up and clearing of practical session.

1. **Laboratory Administration**:

- to prepare and review checklist for assigned practical modules before practical session starts
- to correspond with the lecturer in-charge of the assigned modules to determine the necessary requirement and arrangements before practical session starts

2. **Laboratory Management**:

- to involve in practical session preparation, set-up, and clearing
- to carry out expensive glasswares washing when necessary
- to involve in the MDLs management team activities
- to assist stock take of the assigned laboratories at the end of the semester

3. **Care and Maintenance of Equipment**:

- to assist in the routine maintenance as stipulated in the MDLs Maintenance Guidelines

4. **Other Tasks**:

- to undertake any other work or tasks assigned by the Senior Laboratory Technologist or Laboratory Technologist from time to time

**Job Requirement**
- Some working experience. Those who are familiar with laboratory environment will be prioritised.
- Minimum a Diploma in science field.

**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: RM1,600.00 - RM2,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Early shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kuala Lumpur: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Diploma/Advanced Diploma (required)
