Sales Lead

**Job Summary**:
The Sales Lead - General Trade is responsible for driving sales, managing distribution, and developing strong trade relationships within the General Trade (GT) channel. This role oversees a team of sales representatives and distributors to ensure effective market coverage, availability, visibility, and volume growth in line with the company's objectives.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Sales & Distribution Management**
- Drive GT sales targets and ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
- Manage and expand distribution network to maximize coverage and penetration.
- Ensure product availability, visibility, and freshness in retail outlets.
**2. Channel Development**
- Identify and onboard new distributors and retail partners.
- Monitor distributor performance, stock levels, credit limits, and route planning.
- Implement territory management strategies to optimize sales team performance.
**3. Trade Marketing Execution**
- Work closely with trade marketing team to roll out promotions, POSM materials, and product launches.
- Monitor and report on trade marketing effectiveness at the outlet level.
**4. Team Leadership**
- Lead, coach, and motivate sales representatives to drive performance and build a winning culture.
- Set clear KPls, monitor daily performance, and conduct regular field visits and reviews.
- Identify training needs and facilitate on-the-job development.
**5. Market Intelligence**
- Gather market insights including competitor activity, pricing trends, and consumer feedback.
- Provide actionable recommendations to internal stakeholders for continuous improvement.
**6. Operational Excellence**
- Ensure compliance with sales processes, trade terms, and company policies.
- Monitor timely collection of payments and adherence to credit policies.
- Maintain accurate sales records, reporting, and forecasting.
**Qualifications & Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in FMCG sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership role in General Trade.
- Strong distributor and retail management skills.
- Proven ability to lead sales teams and deliver results in a competitive environment.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and sales reporting tools.
- Willingness to travel and conduct field visits frequently.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
