Casting Production Manager/assistant Manager

**Summary of Responsibilities**
Will be responsible for the production operations of die casting facility. The Production Manager/Assistant Manager will oversee production operations of the plant and staff insuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of facility. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, ability and essential duties required to successfully perform this job.
**Key Responsibilities**
The Casting Production Manager/Assistant Manager reports directly to the GM Operation and is responsible to provide communication and reporting of the Department/shift.
- Manage and supervise production employees in a production environment.
- Manages the complete shift with Supervisor, Line Leaders, and direct production employees.
- Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems;
- Oversee shift production, maintenance, materials and quality groups making sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyses information skilfully; Develops alternative solutions.
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Applies feedback to improve performance.
- Maintain a safe and healthful working environment where zero lost time injuries are expected standard of work by all employees.
- Follow and enforce all plant safety rules and procedures, promoting and practicing safety first policy, including housekeeping.
- Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Logistics and Management.
- Conduct communication meetings with all Production & Maintenance employees discussing issues within the work areas.
- Determine and implement improvements to the production process.
- Monitors scrap material costs and finds ways to improve and minimize.
- Ensures rework is complete and quarantine is kept to an acceptable operating level.
- Perform other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**:
- Degree in business administration, management, engineering, industrial technology or related field or combination of education and experience
- Ability to problem solve.
- Intermediate computer skills required.
- Ability to communicate with others, both verbal and written.
- Able to prepare, read, write and interpret reports, instructions, procedures and business correspondence.
- Able to clearly and effectively respond to questions from management, employees, suppliers and customers.
- Able to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Able to work flexible hours/shifts.
**Salary**: RM4,500.00 - RM7,500.00 per month
