**Job Purpose**
As HR Generalist, you will be responsible for delivery of a full range of human resource services within your region. You will sit within the Malaysian region and act as the primary interface for all employees and management within the product lines. You will pro-actively contribute to the delivery of overall business goals.
**Principle Accountabilities**
- To act as the first point of contact for advice and problem solving in the areas of employee relations: disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence management, mentoring and coaching managers, where appropriate.
- Escalate any employee relations cases to the HR Business Partner where necessary.
- Drive employee development plans and performance management
- To advise, guide and support managers with all HR matters
- Effective case management of people related issues.
- Leading on boarding in the division, in conjunction with resourcing team
- Leading the probation process for the division including mid-probation
- Employee check ins, pro-actively chasing and follow up
- Developing effective relationships within the division
- Monitoring the employee relations climate and escalating trends or concerns to the HR Business Partner where appropriate
- Monitor and lead employee engagement processes e.g. performance cycle, new starter surveys, stay interviews, exit questionnaires and interview, reviewing trends and providing recommendations to HR Business Partner
- Gather and provide people data reports
- Write and present information briefings on a range of HR topics
- Support the wider HR team to deliver HR projects
- Actively participate and contribute to the HR Generalist network, globally within the group.
Other tasks/General
- Undertake any other reasonable ad hoc duties, including projects, as and when required.
- Support other areas outside of own direct functional responsibilities to achieve the objectives of the department.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the HR service to the business.
- Keep up to date with Employment Law in your area and provide updates where necessary.
**Competencies and Qualifications**
Minimum Competencies
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Expert in Employment Law in your region.
- Competent IT skills
- Good knowledge of employment law and regulations
- Compensation and Benefits Management experience
- Knowledge of ER procedures and processes such as employment tribunals, disability, diversity and equal opportunities
- Ability to create and analyse people data
- Sound problem solving and judgement skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- High volume multi-site experience - both site and remotely based experience
- Experience of employment law within other countries is desirable, but not essential
Qualifications
- A certified HR Qualification applicable to your region
