**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES**
To secure business, primarily room sales of the hotel in order to achieve and surpass the monthly forecast revenue of the department in addition to coordinating all clients’ requirements with the relevant supporting departments.
**DESCRIPTION OF WORK**
1. Initiate the sales activities of personal market segment and sales & marketing department in order to ensure the hotel goal and personal target/hotel budget set forth in Business Plan are met.
2. Initiate and administer the advertising and promotional program,
3. Prepare monthly sales target based on the category of accounts, company business activity and business trend. To refer to historical data to prioritize type of sales calls.
4. To entertain clients and guests, minimum 5 companies per week. To conduct regular hotel inspection to new prospects.
5. Participate in the development and execution of the hotel sales and marketing plan (especially sales action plan), budget and marketing audits.
6. Initiate and establish solicitation programs of personal market segment to maximize sales (Room & Catering).
7. To cultivate and maintain close rapport with all guests at all time in order to ensure that they are well taken care of and mutual goodwill is established.
8. To represent the management in handling guests requests and complaints and information concerning services from all areas of operations.
9. To provide personalize guest services and complies if possible with each and every guest request.
10. To ensure effective communication is practiced within the department and also with welcome other operating departments.
11. To appraise appearance and efficiency as the Sales & Marketing Personnel and maintain a friendly, neat and professional image to the guests. Must be impeccable in attire and personal grooming.
12. Analyzes market changes and trends under the direction of the General Manager, implement programs with the sales department to meet these changes, ie. Changes brought about by political, economic and competitors.
13. To assist in facilitating collection of any outstanding payment of accounts handled by your good self.
14. Assess margin contribution of group business to maximize meeting spaces.
15. Develop and maintain effective communication channels.
16. Maintain close, frequent, open communication with Corporate Communication Department, Ri-Yaz Group Sdn Bhd
17. Maintain supportive, timely communication with other business entities of Ri-Yaz Group Sdn Bhd
18. Coordinate communication between Sales & Marketing Department and other business units within the hotel.
19. Maintain timely and responsive communication with Finance Department, clients and prospects.
20. Meet with all influential clients and ensures that pre and post conference meetings are conducted to provide effective communications and feedback for improvements.
21. Timely reporting - daily, weekly and monthly and other relevant report as requested by the General Manager.
22. Performs related duties and special projects as requested by the General Manager.Work with the General Manager and relevant parties to develop a tactical marketing plan that identifies market niche and segments.
23. To perform all other work as and when required.
24. Align working style, working practices and conduct with Ri-Yaz Hotels & Resort’s Vision, Corporate Values and Policies. To comply with The Code of Conduct at all times.
25. Be well versed and knowledgeable of Fire and Evacuation procedures as well as health and safety requirements in the workplace.
26. Coordination of all aspects of the departments operation to ensure that the services of the Department are delivered to guests or internal customers with the aim of exceeding guest expectations and in accordance with Brand Standards and Procedures.
27. Uphold the SNAP by demonstrating the Service Standards at all times to guests and fellow ambassadors.
28. Personally ensure compliance with all relevant Workplace Health & Safety and Occupational Health & Safety legislation, and related Ri-Yaz Hotels & Resort and Company Policies.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,200.00 per month
