QA/ Qc Supervisor

To participate in Quality Management System (QMS) and Project Quality Plan (PQP) implemented in company operation or throughout the project implementation.
- To monitor and improve the QAQC process ie. conditional, dimension check and other required inspection to all incoming material to ensure incoming materials are in accordance to company purchase specification unless a Certificate of Conformance (COC) from the supplier is obtained.
- To prepare, collect, review, manage and maintain all the project quality documentations which are required by client for final acceptance and buy off of the system, equipment or finished good.
- To support customers on the quality related activities, to liaise with suppliers, sub-contractors and internal department heads on quality aspects and quality issues for all systems throughout the project implementation.
- To be responsible on analyses, act on and troubleshoot rejects, response to customer complaint relating to product quality and start up issues, to keep the customer up-to-date on actions taken, together with a time plan for which the identified issues can be resolved and to conduct failure analysis with recommendation for improvement.
- To take charge for onsite quality inspection job as when required. To coordinate with onsite sub-contractors for equipment testing and commissioning activities, scheduling and work towards schedule as planned and ensuring that equipment works to its specification.
- To implement best start-up practices throughout the project sites and participate in discussion with team for effective management and utilisation of constrained resources.
- To ensure timely certification of all systems and equipment supplied to the customer.
- To carry out formal risk assessment to identify and evaluate the risks relating to QA functions and recommend to management for the measures to be implemented to eliminate and minimise those risks.
- To oversee and ensure regular checks are performed on machine reliability (calibration check) to minimise the risk of disruption to production activities and calibration record.
- To monitor operational work processes and to ensure it’s in compliance with the Company's Quality Policy and to conduct quality training and quality meeting to drive for continuous improvement relating to quality functions
- Ensure that an internal audit programme is adopted. Plan and co-ordinate internal audits at a required interval, carry out internal audit, summarise internal audit findings and reporting to Management with recommendations for improvement for Management review.
- To follow up on the internal audit results of the control system weaknesses, implement preventative or detective controls that such weaknesses can be managed and corrective actions are taken to rectify the system weaknesses.
- To liaise with the ISO auditors and external assessment body on all matters related to the ISO / external accreditation process.
- To support on potential customers’ qualification audit and related activities.
- To liaise with customers auditors and coordinate with internal department heads on supplier qualification audit points and follow up until qualification process are completed.
- To support Purchasing and Engineering Departments on supplier’s qualification audit that suppliers are selected, evaluated and re-evaluated at required intervals and records the assessment are maintained and recorded.
- Ensure the effectiveness of the overall QA, ISO functions (ISO 9001 & ISO 14001) and other certifications (UL & CE) throughout the company.
- Ensure the effectiveness of document, drawing and information control system throughout the company.
- Ensure the effectiveness of quality improvement plans formulated from the review of customer complaint, internal rejection, supplier rejection, Corrective Action Request (CAR) and Management Review.
- Liaise with the relevant Heads of Department to review and resolve all quality & environmental management system related issues.
- Highly technical person with very good data analysis skills (SPC, 7QC Tools,etc), attention to details, problem solving with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge in FMEA,8D, and other QA skills will be an advantage.
