As the **Business Development Manager**, you are responsible for maximizing the revenue opportunities for the hotel by expanding citizenM's commercial efforts, creating new sales opportunities, sourcing groups and meeting business, collaborating with travel agencies and establishing strong corporate relationships whilst signing up corporate accounts to citizenM's global portfolio.

**What is your role?**
- Responsible for all business development related functions and the generation of top line revenues through all sales activities in citizenM Kuala Lumpur
- Account sourcing and management: ability to demonstrate account penetration and conversion
- Develop action plans to initiate short
- and long-term sales, promote revenue growth and market exposure, continuously working and assessing efforts
- Primary point of contact for the corporate accounts and business generation
- Business development for societyM and hotel events as well as group business
- Communicate with all contracted business partners i.e., OTA & others including adhoc business opportunities
- Maintain regular weekly sales reporting with emphasis on new leads, enquiry rates and conversion
- Maintain strong and continuous cooperation with the hotel team, Asia support offices, the citizenM support office and the central commercial team based in the Netherlands, and the entire sales team
- To support the operation by providing explanation & guidance on all sales & business development aspects whenever required
- Represent the brand and its culture to business clients and stakeholders through promotional activities, including daily telemarketing, local sales calls, attending trade shows, and participating in overseas sales trips
- Supervise and mentor the junior team member in their career development

**What are we looking for?**
- have good Malaysia corporate network and experience in various commercial segments
- are able to communicate in English, both in verbal and written (Chinese language is an added advantage)
- are good in communication and interpersonal skills
- are self-motivated and able to work independently
- have good negotiating skills, creative and innovative
- are computer literate and familiar with Microsoft office
- a minimum of 5-8 years hotel sales & marketing experience
- possess a diploma / bachelor's degree in Sales & Marketing or in relevant discipline
