People & Culture Operations Manager

**Overview**:
Our client is a dedicated Australian-owned supplier of the finest medical supplies for hospitals and healthcare professionals. Currently they are looking for a
**People & Culture Operations Manager** to join their offshore team in the Philippines.
The purpose of this role is to:
- To deliver all administration associated with the management of employee records including new starters, job changes, salary reviews, and terminations
- To provide a shared service function to answer queries from across the Australia, New Zealand and Asia region regarding our people practices
- To ensure the team are operating within agreed SLAs so that the employee experience is the best it can be.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **People Management responsibilities**:
- Actively influence and manage the overall performance of the team against KPI’s, goals and objectives of the BU or Support function. Conduct regular conversations and performance reviews;
- Develop and assess ongoing employee performance, providing constructive feedback and improvement action plans/personal development plans; Manage team/employee adherence to compliance, policies, procedures and relevant legislation;
- Drive team engagement and morale through effective communication and continuous improvement. Create and actively drive and inspire a high performance and employee engagement culture
- Ensure effective recruitment of the right people with the right skills in the right positions at the right time;
- Ensure effective on-boarding of new employees. Manage the probation period for new employees ensuring regular feedback is provided, improvement actions instigated if necessary.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Experience managing people operations across multiple jurisdictions as a shared service function
- People management, coaching and engagement experience
- Understanding HR fundamentals including best practice, HR systems and processes
- Strong working knowledge of Asia, Australia and NZ employment legislation
- Management of employee files, onboarding, and integration experience
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and multitask
- Advanced computer skills including MS office Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Reporting experience for key people metrics using Power BI/Excel or HRIS.
