Safety Manager

**We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Manager to join our team**.

**Job Responsibilities:

- Administering and managing the implementation of SMS program and safety related activities for ATAS.
- Advising the Accountable Executive and Departmental Managers on SMS-related matters
- Ensuring the procedures and processes for the SMS are established, implemented and maintained
- Planning SMS training for Managers, Executives and non
- executives.
- Facilitate and administer hazard identification, risk assessment and mitigation activities.
- Making decision regarding safety risk tolerability to be mitigated from Tolerable and Acceptable into Acceptable region.
- Advising Accountable Executive for making decision regarding Safety Risk tolerability to be mitigated from Intolerable into Tolerable or Acceptable region
- Maintaining SMS documentation and records.
- Monitoring safety concerns in the aviation industry and their perceived impact on ATAS’s operations.
- Collecting and analysing safety information in a timely manner.
- Providing the periodic reports on ATAS’S safety performance
- Ensuring that risk assessments are conducted when applicable
- Coordinating and communicating (on behalf of the AE) with the CAAM and other aviation regulatory authorities as necessary on issues related to safety.
- Establishing and maintaining internal audit and feedback system
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of corrective actions of safety reports mitigation investigations.
- Being involved with actual or practice emergency response
- Being involved in the development and updating of the emergency response plan and procedures
- Lead the investigation within ATAS which related to safety
- Ensuring safety related information, including organizational goals and objectives, are made available to all personnel through established communication processes.
- Administer and accountable entire Safety Department in conformity with contents of Safety and Quality Policy and corporate commitment made by the Accountable Manager;
- Responsible on safety matters and in the event of any reported discrepancy not adequate attended to;
- Assure on matter relating to safety issues and performance; internal, external and international safety initiatives and requirements;
- Manage,maintain and monitor all safety management system and feedback system within ATAS Aero Engineering;
- Implement a safety audit program in which compliance with all maintenance procedures is reviewed at regular intervals in relation to each type of aircraft (or component) maintained ;
- Co-ordinating action on airworthiness occurrences and for initiating any necessary further investigation and follow-up activity;
- Ensure adequate supervision and control of maintenance activities with proper management of safety standard;
- Monitor organisation’s compliance with MCAR and other Aviation Regulatory requirements as applicable;
- Responsible for monitoring ATAS Aero Engineering compliance with CAAM and other relevant aviation authorities’ requirements and requesting remedial action when necessary.
- Participate in management reviews to present progress on remedial actions against significant findings and safety issues in a timely manner;
- Develop Safety procedures document, control their subsequent amendments and submit such mendments to the CAAM for approval prior to the implementation;
- Maintaining and updating ATAS Aero Engineering SMS Manual;
- Ensure each department’s staff are trained, qualified and competent to discharge their safety related obligations and establish adequate safety guidelines and publishing them to all personnel; and
- Establish and maintain the arrangement for identifying, reporting, tracking and correcting safety issues and for the initiation of preventive action where necessary.
- Ensure that any observed non-compliances or poor standards are brought to the attention of the person concerned via his/her manager.
