Finance Manager

Overview

This position is responsible act as business partner for Top Management to lead planning and forecasting activities with business partners to achieve business and company goals. He/she is to be responsible to reviews financial reports. prepares financial forecasts, monitors financial details to ensure legal compliance and develop new metrics for driving business performance relative to strategic priorities and minimizing risk

**Responsibilities**:

- Direct and oversee all financial activities of the corporation, including all financial statements and reporting such as income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns and government agency reports.
- Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; make or oversee any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for day-to-day operations.
- Identify and assess financial risks and propose strategies for mitigating them. Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis, identifying key trends and providing actionable insights to the leadership team.
- Works with Managing Director and other management executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process; reviews planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and identify opportunity for expansion into new area; generate insights from financial data.
- Oversee investment of funds and work with investment bankers to raise additional capital required for expansion
- Implement robust internal controls with review and evaluation and ensure good corporate governance.
- Responsible for accuracy, integrity and integration of all financial data and functions and ensure that all work meets applicable compliance standards to ensure financial efficiency within the company.
- Generate and analyze financial reports, highlighting variances and trends.
- Establish and enforce more effective processes, procedures and controls in all functions within the Finance Department.
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain management guidelines by recommending, preparing and updating finance policies and procedures, including the documentation and communication of the said policies.
- Other ad-hoc task as assigned by superior/management from time to time.

**Qualification & Requirement**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy/ Finance
- Professional qualifications ACCA/ICAEW/CPA/MICPA
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting practices and procedures. Familiarity in Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (“MFRS”) and Malaysian Private Reporting Standards (“MPERS”)
- Minimum 5 years experience at head of accounting/ finance department
- Experience in SME background and Knowledge in treasury will be an added advantage
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong leadership skillset
- Proactive and positive work attitude
- Required language : English & Mandarin
