Junior Web Developer

**About the Role**:

Delivering the best, digital marketing solutions to support the customer journey. In this role, you will work in the Digital Marketing Team, which consists of 17 dedicated and skilled colleagues in Denmark, Poland, and Malaysia. You will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We support both our brand organization and our sales companies worldwide with digital marketing solutions.

You will take on a wide portfolio of interesting and challenging tasks, with your primary responsibility focused on developing and supporting our core standard that underpins the company’s digital presence.

As a member of the Web Delivery team, based in Kuala Lumpur, you will collaborate with a group of 4-6 team members. The team’s primary focus will be the development and implementation of a web management platform using custom-built components with a headless CMS.

Using the SCRUM method and your expertise, you and your colleagues will transform needs and wishes from the business into best-in-class digital solutions.

**Some of the Responsibilities include, but not limited to**:

- Maintain and enhance the existing web platform to ensure it remain reliable, scalable and performant
- Delivery and improve components and CMS features within the agreed timeline, while maintaining a focus on good code quality
- Ensure code quality through best practices, code reviews, and testing to keep maintainable and efficient code
- Actively participate in Agile/Scrum processes, including sprint planning, standups and retrospectives

**Requirement & Skills**:

- You have a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Fresh graduate or at least 1 year of frontend development experience
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
- Demonstrated experience with responsive design principles and cross browser compatibility
- Able to work independently, self-motivated, as well as work well in a team
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a cross functional team
- Experience working in an agile environment, with small, distributed teams

**Criteria that will set you apart**:

- Proficient in using TypeScript, React.js, Next.js and their ecosystem
- Experience in modern web styling techniques, like style-component or SCSS
- Experience in consuming or using RESTful API as part of frontend integration
- Experience in Git version control
- Familiar with CMS, especially headless CMS like Strapi
- Proficiency in managing backend services on Azure, including web apps, storage solutions, and databases
- Experience with automated test using frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or Jest
- Familiar with modern frontend CI/CD pipelines and development tools
- Knowledge of SEO principles
- (Bonus) Experience in UX/UI and Figma
