Community Centre Manager

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
**1. Teaching & Programme Delivery (50%)**
- Deliver structured English, digital skills, and life skills sessions using SOLS materials.
- Support community members in learning, confidence-building, and personal growth.
- Track student attendance, progress, and learning outcomes.
- Organise informal sessions for youth and adults as needed.

**2. Centre Operations & Administration (25%)**
- Ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly - clean, safe, welcoming centre.
- Maintain accurate records (attendance, registration, supplies, asset logs).
- Submit weekly and monthly reports on activities, outreach, and community needs.

**3. Community Engagement & Stakeholder Relations (15%)**
- Build strong, respectful relationships with community leaders, parents, and partners.
- Support village events, host learning circles, and coordinate visits or volunteer activities.
- Represent SOLS at local meetings, gatherings, or any community-led initiatives.

**4. Village Data Collection & Mapping (10%)**
- Collect and update demographic, intervention, and infrastructure data.
- Input and verify village-level data to support open-source mapping tools.
- Flag community needs or grievances to the Programme Manager promptly.

**WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE**
- Stable attendance and active engagement in programmes by learners.
- Centre operates independently with mínimal issues.
- Strong rapport with community and timely flagging of risks or issues.
- Accurate, timely reporting and village data updates.
- Completion of 12-month contract with tangible community development outcomes.

**SALARY & BENEFITS**
- **Monthly salary**: RM2,500 (EPF, SOCSO, EIS included)
- **Performance Bonus**: RM6,000 - RM12,000 upon successful completion of a 13-month contract and performance review.

**QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS**

**Minimum**:

- Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- Able to commit to 12-month placement in rural/remote Indigenous village.
- Strong spoken and written English; basic Bahasa Malaysia proficiency an asset.
- Basic digital literacy (MS Office, Google Drive).

**Preferred**:

- Experience in teaching, volunteering, or working with underserved communities.
- Motorcycle licence (especially for villages with limited transport).
- Understanding of Indigenous issues, community organising, or rural development.
- Experience in Education, Social Sciences, Community Development or related fields.
