Why does this job exist and why is it critical?
Technical Sales Specialist in IoT, the role would be customer facing supporting Enterprise Sales Team and will be responsible to drive growth of IoT - Products and Services revenue within Maxis Enterprise Business. This role requires the identification of opportunities through consultative selling and technical expertise. The job holder should develop relationships with key buyers and decision
- makers at new and/or existing clients to grow the business in new domains
What are you accountable for?
- Advocate for the Maxis Business value proposition and able to lead on pitching of the Enterprise Practices solution portfolio in line with customers pain-points and desired outcomes
- Provide solutions to complex business problems across Enterprise Practice solution portfolio where analysis of situations requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives & mapping to Enterprise Practices solution portfolio /capabilities
- Lead on engagements with customers related to innovation, industry transformation trends, digital transformation initiatives and potential client initiatives
- Develop and execute client’s office Enterprise IoT communications strategy in conjunction with Account Managers (Sales)
- Accountable to drive tangible and targeted revenue growth with new product development and ensure existing product performance i.e. increased in number of installed base
- Demonstrate holistic approach to IoT Sales business operations (Market segment targeting, forecasting, pipeline management, opportunity qualification)
- Ensure customer satisfaction, managing, escalations, and/or orchestrating sales and delivery success through cross-department coordination & project management
- Create, update and present marketing collaterals, including but not limited to data sheet, white papers, competitive analysis and case studies
- Communicate feedback on qualified requirements/features to Solution Architect and Product Management team
What do you need to have for this role?
- Degree or Equivalent with specialisation in Engineering or IT. Business or Marketing work experience is a plus point
- At least 5 years of experience in Sales, Business Development or and Account Management with relevant years of experience in IOT solution sales portfolio
- Possess technical acumen in the area of wireless communication technology (i.e. 4G, 5G, WIFI, LPWA) and/or cloud computing (i.e. Azure, AWS, MEC etc.) that are pivotal components of IoT products/solutions
- Capacity to define account/sales plan, ability to identify key decision-making stakeholder(s), and self-motivated to drive sales attack plan
- Capacity to engage, influence internal and external stakeholders and drive virtual cross-functional teams in a collaborative manner
