**Job Scope: Nurse (Confinement Centre)**

1. **Postnatal Mother Care**
- Monitor mother’s recovery after delivery (vaginal / C-section).
- Conduct vital signs checks (BP, temperature, pulse, wound inspection).
- Assist with wound care, perineal care, C-section incision dressing.
- Support breastfeeding (latching guidance, milk expression).
- Educate mothers on postnatal hygiene, rest, diet, and self-care.
- Observe for complications (e.g., infection, postpartum hemorrhage, depression) and report immediately.

2. **Newborn Baby Care**
- Daily monitoring of baby’s vital signs, weight, feeding, and sleeping patterns.
- Umbilical cord care, bathing, swaddling, and safe sleeping practices.
- Support and educate mothers on breastfeeding / formula feeding techniques.
- Early identification of jaundice, dehydration, infection, or other neonatal issues.
- Document baby’s progress and update parents daily.

3. **Health Education & Emotional Support**
- Provide postnatal education to mothers & families (nutrition, breastfeeding, recovery timeline, baby care basics).
- Offer emotional support for new mothers experiencing anxiety, baby blues, or breastfeeding struggles.
- Promote healthy bonding between mother, baby, and family.

4. **Clinical & Emergency Duties**
- Administer prescribed medications and supplements to mothers if required.
- Keep accurate medical records and reports for both mother and baby.
- Be alert and act promptly in emergencies (e.g., heavy bleeding, breathing difficulties in infant).
- Liaise with doctors or hospitals for referrals when needed.

5. **Centre Support**
- Ensure cleanliness and infection control standards in nursery & mother’s rooms.
- Assist with admission & discharge processes of mothers and babies.
- Work closely with caregivers, midwives, and centre staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Participate in training sessions to update skills on postnatal & neonatal care.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
