Product Development Coordinator

**Note: this role will report onsite at our office in Singapore.**

As we grow and expand, we want you to grow with us. We're looking for a product development coordinator with a passion for fashion jewelry and body jewelry who can help with managing the steady growth of our product design and development department.

Ask & Embla's ideal production coordinator should possess the right attitude, communication, planning skills and experience to lead and work alongside the team to bring our product development pillar to the next level.

**What you will do**:

- Manage the on time delivery and development of new products according to critical dates, product specification, sustainability and profitability goals
- Source for new suppliers and manufacturer to work with for each category
- Ensure adherence to the critical path and exit factory dates
- Work with design and product development team on approving samples to proceed to the production phase after thorough evaluation
- Partner with Product Design Team to offer options and solution to meet design intent and margin targets
- Work with budgets and partner with design and merchandising team to identify and plan product development timelines and processes
- Work with the operations/procurement/budget network to create process documentation, ensuring ongoing operational quality and efficiency.
- Work with management, customer service & quality team to improve product development quality

**Job Requirements**
- A diploma or degree in Industrial Design, Engineering, Fashion Merchandising, Business, or Jewellery related fields preferred
- Fresh graduates are welcome, but at least 2 years of product development or project management preferred, though passionate applicants with no experience are welcome
- Proactive and outgoing personality with a positive and solutions oriented mentality - you will be speaking to and coordinating with suppliers regularly
- Excellent organizational skills and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team-player mindset, ready to help in different parts of the team
- Excellent English written communication skills
- Thick-skinned, and comfortable making requests under tight deadlines
- Must be tech savvy and able to adopt and use new tools quickly
