Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Curriculum Development
- Deliver engaging and high-quality culinary instruction, focusing on foundational and advanced culinary techniques.
- Develop and update course content, modules, and lesson plans that align with industry standards and culinary trends.
- Organize and oversee practical sessions and culinary labs, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
- Collaborate with faculty and industry experts to keep curricula current with industry needs and standards.

Practical Training and Student Development
- Provide hands-on training that emphasizes essential skills in food preparation, presentation, and culinary safety.
- Mentor students to develop both technical skills and creativity in the kitchen, preparing them for real-world culinary roles.
- Conduct regular assessments, providing feedback and guidance to students on areas for improvement and excellence.
- Promote the importance of food safety, hygiene, and quality control in all practical training sessions.

Industry Engagement and Networking
- Foster relationships with local culinary institutions, restaurants, and chefs to enhance training opportunities and industry exposure.
- Organize guest lectures, demonstrations, and industry visits to broaden students' understanding of the culinary field.
- Coordinate student internships or placement opportunities with culinary businesses, supporting career development.

Research and Innovation
- Stay updated on new techniques, trends, and technologies in the culinary arts, integrating them into teaching as appropriate.
- Encourage student participation in culinary competitions, workshops, and research projects to build practical skills.
- Contribute to culinary publications or research to enhance the School's reputation and promote culinary knowledge.

Accreditation and Compliance
- Ensure all culinary programs and activities comply with Malaysian culinary education standards and best practices.
- Assist in preparing for accreditation reviews by maintaining up-to-date records and adhering to institutional policies.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and quality standards in all instructional activities.

Community Engagement and Outreach
- Represent the School of Culinary Arts at community and industry events, helping to build its reputation.
- Collaborate with marketing and admissions teams to attract students by showcasing the School’s culinary programs and achievements.
- Lead or participate in community projects, culinary workshops, and events to promote the culinary arts.

RequirementsEducation
- A Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred but not essential).
- Certification in Culinary Arts, recognized by Malaysian or international culinary accreditation bodies.

Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of professional culinary experience, with at least 2 years in teaching or training within the culinary field.
- Proven track record of culinary excellence, demonstrated through awards, publications, or industry recognition.

Skills and Competencies
- Strong practical culinary skills, with expertise in a range of cuisines and techniques.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Proficient in curriculum development and student assessment, with a focus on hands-on learning.
- Knowledgeable about Malaysian food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Commitment to fostering student growth, creativity, and professional skills.

Other Requirements
- Familiarity with culinary industry standards and Malaysian regulatory requirements.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
