**VACANCY: POLITICAL RESEARCHER**

JOB DETAILS
- Research assistant position at SEDAR Institute
- Full-time, with competitive remuneration and benefits
- Based in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supporting and coordinating the Institute’s research and advisory, stakeholder management, and team development activities.
- Carrying out desk and primary research on a wide variety of political and policy issues, as well as other topics as directed.
- Drafting and preparing analytical reports, meeting notes, memos.
- Supporting and representing SEDAR Institute at client and government meetings and workshops.
- Contributing to the growth of the office and the firm as a whole.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Malaysian national with excellent proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
- One or two years of relevant work experience, preferably in one of the following: government ministries or statutory boards, government affairs/relations, public affairs/relations and communications, legal, consulting, media/journalism, or think-tank/academia.
- Consideration is given to outstanding fresh graduates with relevant internship experience or academic specialisation.
- Knowledge and interest in political and socioeconomic issues and developments in Malaysia.
- Adept knowledge of the functioning and protocol of the Malaysian Government is a value-add.
- Strong time-management skills and ability to multi-task.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,700.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
