Dental Surgery Assistant

Dental assistants create a professional, informative, and friendly dental experience. They share their knowledge in a very detailed and individualized way through active listening. Dental assistants are highly aware of their patients' rights and work hard to ensure that they are adequately protected. The main responsibility of the dental assistant is to provide front-line clinic management services, assist the doctor, and provide daily support for administration, sales, and marketing activities. CLINICAL DUTIES - Before beginning the treatment, turn on the compressor and ‘suction' in the back room. - Assist the doctor during the treatment procedure. - Provide all necessary equipment before, during, and after treatment. - After each procedure, tidy up and clean the surgery room. - All tools should be thoroughly cleaned. - Cook appropriate surgical instruments using an autoclave in the laundry room. - Arrange clean equipment in the right place. - Administrative Support - Provide administrative and/or clerical support to departments and units. - Coordinate office functions. - Perform semi-routine clerical tasks in accordance with established instructions and procedures. Set goals and work towards them. - Prepare letters, reports, records, and other documents from drafts and corrected copies. - Prepare and improve the standard of operation for job assignments on a regular basis. - Assist in the planning, research, development, and execution of programmers and special projects. - Informs other employees about records, reports, regulations, and procedures. - Performs work similar to or related to that supervised. - Perform office administration responsibilities that frequently necessitate the use of a computer. - Requests appropriate supplies, equipment, and uniforms when necessary. - Organize all clinic shelves, medications, beverages, sweets, and other stations. - Ensure that laboratory forms and invoices from laboratories or vendors are kept up to date in the given files. - Maintain a clean working environment and follow infection control procedures. - To achieve operational excellence, ensure compliance with all business rules, standards, and procedures. - Strive to achieve clinical objectives. - Other related duties may be assigned as needed. COUNTER DUTIES - Assist with patient registration when they arrive at the clinic. Make eye contact with guests, smile enthusiastically, and remain pleasant during the visit. During registration, the patient's history (dental and medical history) is taken, as well as blood pressure and pulse (if necessary). - Understand the system used in the clinic which is the KRELOSES system. - Ensure that the receiving and payment of patients is done and recorded appropriately. - Every day, update patient arrival records, medication records, and inventory. - Dispense the medications prescribed by the doctor correctly and precisely. - Answering phone calls, responding to SMS, WhatsApp, and social media," or answering patient queries pleasantly and accurately. Handling patient or guest difficulties and complaints by requesting assistance from management. - Provide patients with oral care instructions after surgery or other dental treatment procedures. - Maintain patient confidentiality and protect patient privacy at all times. - Management constantly encourages comments or feedbacks from patients or guests. - Upload posters or promotions on the clinic's Facebook and Instagram pages every day. - A day before the appointment, contact or SMS patients and remind them of their appointment. - The day after treatment, send a feedback message to all patients. - Any decision concerning the clinic, including patient issues, must be communicated to superiors. - Assist in providing direct patient care in all dental specialties, such as orthodontic services, etc. - Assist the doctor in the treatment room. - Ensures that every patient card for the following day's appointment is taken from the shelf the day before. - Every day, ensuring that each patient card is rearranged on the shelf in the predetermined sequence. GENERAL DUTIES - Tidy up every space and corner in the clinic by sweeping, mopping the floor, and wiping dust off the walls, counters, and other areas in the office. - Wash the floor, toilet bowl and change the tissue in the toilet and any corner that needs tissue every day. - Make sure the clinic is always clean and fragrant. - Tidy up and clean the waiting room, cafe table, and children's room if they are messy and dirty. - Saving electricity should be treated seriously.
