This position is responsible to maintain and enhance the design of the Pathology instrument portfolio by delivering customer focused value adding design changes.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead a team of engineers to resolve technical and operational problems.
- Participate in establishing and administering functional projects.
- Develop and administer schedules and performance standards.
- Secure that the Dako Quality System is appropriately used in all relevant activities.
- Deliver design changes to enable continued production of instruments.
- Deliver design enhancements which are meaningful for the customer and per Product Care requirements.
- Provide transparency of activities and priorities within the team.
- Be the overall point of contact into the Penang team.
- Ensure a high standard of quality and compliance for all activities within the Penang team.
- Bachelor or Master or PhD degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited college/university.
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant design experience in an R&D environment.
- Experience with development of medical devices.
- Familiar with ISO13485 standards and compliance requirement.
- Strong technical, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrate leadership, influencing, communication and planning skills.
- Pragmatic and result oriented.
- Foster a climate of trust.
- Able to adapt well in a dynamic working environment with changing priorities.
