**Location: Taman Tun Dr Ismail, 60000 Kuala Lumpur**

**Salary range : RM9K-11k (depend on experience)**

**Roles & Responsibility**:

- This transition requires us to revise how we maintain and utilise our data. We are looking for a SQL Server
- Database Administrator who can guide us in the database portion of this journey.

**Job purpose**:

- Our **SQL Server Database Administrator** will work with the vendor to design the new database architecture and ensure that we utilise the industry's best practices. They will also oversee the vendor during the migration to ensure the data is correctly transitioned without data loss or corruption.
- This transition will coincide with our exploration and implementation of Artificial Intelligence to provide the best healthcare results.

**Qualification and Education Requirement**:

- Prior experience in a database in designing databases for a multitenant microservices architecture.
- College or University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or comparable experience.
- Good understanding of the database industry and experience in architecting, designing and deploying data engineering infrastructure for collecting, aggregating and analysing data
- Any NoSQL/big data knowledge is a PLUS.

**Core Competency Requirements**:

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in SQL Server database administration, including experience with multitenant environments
- In-depth knowledge of SQL Server and related technologies, including T-SQL, SSIS, and SSRS
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in writing and optimising stored procedures using T-SQL.
- Experience with database design and schema optimization
- Experience with performance tuning and optimisation of SQL Server databases
- Knowledge of security best practices for database environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively with development teams and other stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to participate in production issues in a timely manner
- Proven architectural design and implementation of enterprise-scale products.
- Experienced implementing features/functions of MSSQL 2016 and above, namely HA, AOA,
- Transaction Replication, In memory tables, partitioning, Availability Group, Resource governor, encryption, Query execution plan, etc.
- Skilled in data modelling and normalisation to ensure that databases are designed to promote data integrity.
- Experience in the Healthcare domain will be an added advantage.

**Roles and responsibilities**:

- Manage and maintain the performance, security, and availability of our multitenant microservices databases.
- Develop and implement backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and minimize data loss.
- Configure and tune SQL Server instances to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor and analyse database performance metrics, identify issues, and implement solutions to optimise performance.
- Develop and implement security protocols to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of our data.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to production database issues in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to our databases and database infrastructure.
- Provide training and support to our development team on database-related topics.
- Sets architectural direction, builds consensus, mediates conflicts and provides technical leadership and advisory services to the business
- Involvement in the data acquisition process from multiple source systems and data consolidation/data warehousing.
- Develops database solutions by designing the proposed system, defining the database's physical structure and functional capabilities, security, backup, and recovery specifications.
- Internally motivated, able to work proficiently both independently and in a team environment
- Provides database support by coding utilities, responding to user questions, and resolving problems.
- Accomplishes information systems and organisation mission by completing related results as needed.
- Strong communication skills with both internal team members and business stakeholders
- Strong initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems, and processes
- Lead the adoption of modern database principles and practices.
- Help resolve technical problems as and when they arise.
- Mentors and coaches team members/technical staff and provides them with constructive guidance and recommendation and resolves technical problems as they arise.
- Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
- Assist in the collection and documentation of user requirements and development of user stories, estimates and work plans.
- Assess opportunities for database and process improvement and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties.
