**1. Position Summary**

As Finance & HR Manager you will lead both the finance/accounting function and human resources function of the manufacturing facility/plant. You will report to senior management (General Manager/Operations Director) and be a key member of the site leadership team. Your role is to ensure robust financial controls, compliance, cost management and reporting; and to build a high-performing workforce through HR strategy, people development, talent acquisition, compensation & benefits and employee relations.

**2. Key Responsibilities**

**A. Finance / Accounting**
- Oversee the full finance & accounting cycle for the manufacturing operation: general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting (if finance houses it), cost accounting, inventory accounting, fixed assets.
- Prepare and manage the annual budget; monitor monthly/quarterly forecasts; analyse variances (actual vs budget/forecast) and provide interpretation to management.
- Develop and maintain cost controls, standard costing (for manufacturing), product costing, overhead allocation, and margin/profitability analysis.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing, preparation of financial statements (for internal management and statutory/regulatory purposes).
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards (MFRS), tax regulations (corporate tax, GST/VAT if applicable), statutory filings and audit requirements.
- Develop, implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, ensure accuracy of financial records, and compliance with company policies.
- Provide financial business partnering: provide insight and financial input into business decisions (capital expenditure, new product introduction, expansion projects, cost reduction initiatives).
- Manage the cash flow and working capital (inventory, receivables, payables) for the manufacturing entity; coordinate with banks/auditors/external parties as required.
- Liaise with ERP/finance systems (possibly SAP or other manufacturing ERP) for finance modules, support system enhancements, ensure correctness of data flows.
- Supervise a team of finance/accounting staff, ensure training, performance management, and continuous improvement of finance processes.

**B. Human Resources**
- Lead HR strategy and operations for the manufacturing plant: workforce planning, recruitment & selection, onboarding, performance management, training & development, succession planning.
- Oversee compensation & benefits programmes: salary reviews, bonus/ incentive schemes tied to manufacturing metrics (output, efficiency, quality), benefits administration, payroll coordination (if HR handles payroll) or liaison with payroll provider.
- Develop and maintain HR policies and handbook aligned with Malaysian labour laws and manufacturing-industry best practices; ensure compliance with employment legislation, EHS regulations, collective agreements (if any), and internal policies.
- Manage employee relations: handle grievances, disciplinary processes, conflict resolution, engagement initiatives, culture building, employee satisfaction surveys.
- Responsible for training & development programmes tailored to manufacturing environment: safety, quality, lean manufacturing, leadership skills, technical certifications.
- Ensure maintenance of accurate HR records and HRIS data (personnel files, leave records, attendance/timekeeping, performance evaluations).
- Support change management initiatives (e.g., manufacturing process improvements, organisational restructure, digitalisation of HR systems).
- Work with site leadership to drive a high-performance culture, safety culture, continuous improvement mindset across workforce.
- Monitor and report HR KPI metrics: turnover rate, absenteeism, training hours per employee, time to fill vacancies, cost per hire, etc.

**C. Integrated Finance + HR Leadership**
- As the role covers both functions, align finance and HR initiatives with overall business strategy: for example linking cost reduction initiatives (finance) to workforce optimisation (HR).
- Provide leadership and foster cross‐functional collaboration between finance, HR, operations, manufacturing, supply chain and quality functions.
- Develop dashboards and management reports combining financial and human capital data to support senior management’s decision-making.
- Ensure that financial and human resource risks are identified, assessed and mitigated (e.g., labour cost over‐run, overtime cost, headcount increases, regulatory compliance risk, asset impairment risk).

Lead and mentor sub-teams (finance staff, HR staff) to develop a strong, motivated, effective workforce and efficient function execution

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
