KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: JD role not limited to TSC’s subsidies and/or associate silica beneficiation companies; **Responsibilities includes but not limited to**: - Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing of all kinds of electrical and instrumentation in the mine, plant and jetty area; - Conduct electronic troubleshooting and testing involved under managing high and low voltage equipment; - Operate computer-assisted engineering with electrical crew in performing evaluation electrical and instrumentation in the mine, plant and jetty area; - Establish and follow a competency development plan in an electronic technology engineering discipline with electrical crew in mine, plant and jetty area; - Solve problems in single and three phase low voltage electrical apparatus and circuits in mine, plant and jetty area; - Diagnose, rectify faults and solve problems in a.c. motor drive systems and d.c. motor drive systems across mine, plant and jetty area; - To follow and ensure all subordinate to obey all the safety rules of personal safety apparels, operation, machines and equipment; - Completion of work orders for planned and unplanned daily maintenance tasks; - Responsible on housekeeping for maintain the cleanliness and tidiness at workplace and workshop; - Maintain distribution **High Voltage** (5Kv - 38Kv) electrical systems with substation, switchgear, transformers, protective relays etc, and the **low voltage** (< 600 V) systems like motors, MCC control panels, etc; - Maintain DC emergency power systems, power conditioning systems, excitation systems, and generator systems across mine, plant and jetty area; - Involve in mine, plant and jetty expansion projects related to electrical upgrading works; - Involve in process of purchasing transactions for equipment, material, supplies, capital goods and services and evaluate tender proposal; - Completion of work orders for planned and unplanned daily maintenance tasks; - Day to day operations of the entire facility, electrical installation and monitoring on high voltage facility equipment performance. This will also include overseeing production equipment, maintenance and contractor work arrangement; - Keep the electrical crew informed of the progress made on the weekly maintenance schedule and identify upcoming jobs in mine, plant and jetty area; - To have periodical inspection on all electrical services in Mine, Plant and Jetty site and provide technical reports on its performance; - Perform repair and maintenance work, preventive maintenance task on all switch boards, circuit breakers, transformer and High Tension Voltage; - Ensure all laws and regulations related to electrical system and installation are complied with the statutory standard of local authorities; - Comply with, execute and promote the ore processing health, safety and environment improvement action plan and all Terengganu Silica Consortium Standards Operating Procedures; - Liaise with the Process Plant/Mining/Jetty Operations group and Planning Department; - Communicate effectively with cross shift; - Develop strategies to address environmental and sustainability issues in mine, plant and jetty area; - To adopt Ramco ERP system in daily activity for PM/Purchasing/Inventory/Admin. Job Requirements: - Position requires a HT Chargeman Certification (BO) - At least 5 years’ experience in mining, plant maintenance or equivalent.
