- selects appropriate sensory discrimination methodology and procedures and implements individual tests or studies as required by test/business objective
- aware of data collection software (Eye Question) and is fluent in conducting basic statistical evaluation and able to interpret the results for discriminative, descriptive & quant tests
- Communicates and discusses test results with the business partner(s), involving the supervisor, and agrees next steps
- Plans and executes pilot plant trials/product testing/ tastings under the guidance and support of a Specialist
- Analyses results and provides reports to Specialists or Managers in the team
- Responsible for operating / maintaining simple equipment and facilities. Assuring good manufacturing practices with respect to maintenance and hygiene
- Take care of administration and archiving results and writing & updating simple specifications to support projects
- Represents R&D in simple Adapt for Excellence projects.
- Adopts and follows all JDE technical systems and processes
- Support R&D sensory testing
- Write & perform standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and suggest adjustment of standardized methods for particular products and/or problems

**Qualifications**:
**Must have**:

- Academic level degree/Higher degree/ Trade qualified in Chemical Engineering/ Food-Science and Nutrition or related fields
- 2 years of experience in this field
- Good verbal, writing and communication skills in English. Fluent in Bahasa Melayu and/or Mandarin is advantageous.
Able to taste and describe food/drink
