General Sales Manager

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead and manage the entire sales department, consisting of **25 sales professionals**, ensuring effective collaboration and performance optimization.
- Develop, implement, and monitor sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the market share of WIKA Instruments in Malaysia.
- Work closely with the MD to align sales objectives with company strategy and ensure seamless execution across all levels.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify business opportunities and improve sales outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and partners in the instrumentation and process control industries.
- Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations to the MD and senior management team.
- Establish a strong sales pipeline by targeting new customers, nurturing existing client relationships, and driving repeat business.
- Oversee the preparation of sales forecasts, budgets, and resource planning to ensure targets are met within budgetary constraints.
- Mentor, train, and guide the sales team to enhance performance, ensure product knowledge, and promote professional development.
- Lead the creation of proposals, presentations, and sales contracts, negotiating effectively to close deals and maximize profitability.
- Ensure the sales team adheres to the company’s policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Stay current with industry trends, product innovations, and competitive offerings to drive the continuous improvement of sales strategies.
**Requirements**:
- **Minimum 10 years** of experience in **sales management**, preferably in the **instrumentation, automation, or industrial technology sector**.
- Proven track record of managing and motivating a sales team of **25** members or more to consistently achieve sales goals.
- In-depth knowledge of **pressure, temperature, and level measurement technologies** or related instrumentation products.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics in Malaysia and the ability to execute sales strategies effectively.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Fluent in **Mandarin** and **English**; proficiency in Malay is a plus, particularly for managing regional clients.
- Age range**:42-48 years** (preferred, to ensure the right balance of experience and leadership maturity).
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while maintaining a focus on delivering long-term results.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a senior leadership team.
- Knowledge of CRM software and sales tools, with the ability to use data to drive performance improvements.
