Accounts Assistant

Core responsibilities
- **Financial record-keeping**: Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and databases accurately.
- **Transaction processing**: Handle the processing of invoices, expense claims, and payments for both accounts payable and receivable.
- **Bank reconciliation**: Reconcile bank statements and monitor transactions to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- **Reporting and analysis**: Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and statutory accounts.
- **Administrative support**: Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence with clients and vendors.
- **Payroll assistance**: Help with the processing of payroll by verifying hours and other data.
- **Compliance**: Ensure financial records are accurate and comply with company policies and accounting standards.
Key skills and qualifications
- **Education**: A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is often preferred.
- **Experience**: Proven experience in a similar role is beneficial.
- **Technical skills**: Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel is essential.
- **Soft skills**: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills, and good communication abilities are necessary.
- **Knowledge**: Familiarity with financial regulations, accounting procedures, and data accuracy is important.
- Familiar with SQL will be added advantage
Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM1,800.00 per month
