Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of specification executives to effectively promote company products.
- Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and contractors to ensure company products are specified in their projects, aiming to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Identify and establish relationships with potential clients to expand market reach.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- Deliver compelling product presentations to architects, designers, and stakeholders, highlighting the benefits and key features of company products.
- Partner with internal Retail & Channel Team to position company products as preferred materials, generating immediate sales opportunities.
- Monitor specification progress and success rates, implementing follow-up activities to convert specifications into actual sales.
- Coordinate with internal departments, including marketing, accounts, logistics, and customer service, to ensure seamless sales management and project delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of specification activities, project statuses, and customer interactions for reporting and analytical purposes.
- Collect and communicate market insights to management to inform strategic decision making.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the building materials or architectural products industry with proven track specification and sales track record.
- Strong understanding of product specifications, and project lifecycles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate technical information effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with architects, designers, and specifiers.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software and project tracking tools.
