**Summary of the role**:
This position has accountability for Record to Report (RTR) function of the Association including both founding bodies, AICPA and CIMA and its related organizations covering the geographical locations of US, UK and Regions. Has accountability to drive the continuous transformation of the finance organization from a regional-based Association to a Global Business Services (GBS) model, effective and efficient delivery of RTR services, finalization of yearemd audit, and filing of Audited Financial Statement (AFS) with the relevant statutory bodies. Drive process improvement to deliver higher efficiency, better customer experience, enhance quality and control. Ensure processes comply with corporate policy, accounting conventions and statutory requirements.
**_Accountabilities & Responsibilities:_**
**Functional Leadership (35%)**
- Ensure timely, accurate and compliant execution of all GBS RTR activities.
- Lead and monitor the monthly close processes for the Association and its related entities, ensuring the integrity of the financial statements and timely monthly and year-end reporting.
- Assist preparation of the Association’s consolidated audited financial statements by providing needful analytics and footnotes, working closely with Group Financial Reporting (GFR) Team.
- Provide recommendations to GFR in managing the, design of the chart of accounts, financial reporting methodologies and systems, and successfully implement agreed changes to the RTR processes.
- Oversight of the financial operations, reporting and performance of MAPAGlobal entity including supporting the preparation of budgets & forecasts, financial accounting & reporting, internal & external audit and regulatory & tax compliance.
- Design and implement analytical reviews to understand integrity of the financial statements, financial risk exposure, trends and movements, and recommend solutions to improve business and financial performance.
**Stakeholder Engagement (10%)**
- Work collaboratively with GFR Team, Finance Business Partners and other stakeholders to deliver efficient and compliant solutions to support the growing business needs and complexities related to RTR Tower.
- Manage escalations, address root-causes of recurrent problems, craft solutions in agreement with GFR where necesarry assessing the E2E (end-to-end) process and collaborate with cross-functional teams to proactively and innovatively resolve business and operational issues.
**People Leadership (15%)**
- Design and maintain the right team structure and optimal team capacity considering relevant business factors (E.g. technology, seasons, segregation of duty).
- Make hiring and exit recommendations, manage performance of team, train & develop team members to create a high-performance culture.
- Build sufficient back up for key roles and facilitate internal succession and job rotation within the team.
**Audit, Risk, Policy and Compliance (20%)**
- Manage internal audit of the RTR team, and external financial field audits for the Association US, AICPA and CIMA UK
- Manage the End to End (E2E) audit cycle for the CIMA Regional entities ensuring timely closure of all audits, management letter points and submission of AFS to relevant statutory bodies.
- Support GFR Team to review significant financial reporting issues, and conduct appropriate accounting and disclosure.
- Develop and implement remediation action to address internal and external audit findings.
- Provide feedback and recommendation to GFR Team in safeguarding assets through proper internal controls, policies and procedures, and support implement agreed policies and procedures.
- Ensure the current control framework of the RTR Tower is operating effectively and the processes and process documents comply with all regulatory requirements, accounting conventions and corporate policies.
**Operational Excellence and Service Management (10%)**
- Develop and manage Service Levels (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators of the team ensuring right measures are in place to assess the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of team’s performance and robustness of financial outcomes. Proactively manage stakeholder expectations.
- Drive the RTR process standardization and optimization as the US, UK and regional processes consolidates at the GBS hub.
- Drive continuous process improvements to deliver greater value to the organization through higher productivity, efficiency and effectiveness.
