Functional Responsibility The Emergency Response Manager is responsible to the Head of Aviation Safety for providing assistance and support, at the same time oversight on implementing, maintaining and continuously improving an effective Emergency Response Plan in accordance to regulatory, company, ICAO and IOSA requirements; and ensure continuous compliance to all applicable local and international regulations and standards, as well as Capital A Group requirements.

**Role Responsibility**:

- Promote AirAsia’s culture within the organization
- Ensure transparency and promote good governance
- Develop talents and strengthen staff’s capability; ensure all staff receive appropriate trainings Functional Duties:
1. Safety Policy and Objectives

1.1 Management commitment Safety Objectives and Targets
- Assist applicable departments in developing Safety Objectives and targets.
- Regularly review Safety Objectives and targets with applicable departments for suitability.
- Assist and ensure Safety Objectives and targets are communicated throughout applicable departments.
- Monitor Safety Objectives and targets and keep Chief Safety Officer, as well as applicable Head of departments updated regularly.

1.2 Safety accountability and responsibilities Assist, support and oversight on applicable operations are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations and safety standards of the organization.

1.3 Coordination of emergency response planning Assist, support and oversight on emergency response, planning and exercises.

1.4 SMS documentation Assist, support and oversight on applicable departments in documenting ALL safety related policies, planning, processes, procedures, programs and records in relevant manuals and the central Safety Data Collection and Processing System (SDCPS) as applicable, in accordance with organization documentation and records control requirements.

2. Safety risk management

2.1 Hazard identification - Assist, support and oversight on applicable departments in identifying, reporting, recording, and investigating hazards from all sources.
- Assist, support and oversight on applicable departments safety investigation in accordance with safety investigation process and procedures, as well as clearly identifying root cause(s).
- Carry out safety investigation as required by the Accountable Executive, Chief Safety Officer, applicable departments Head of Departments, or as required by the management.

2.2 Safety risk assessment and mitigation Assist, support and oversight on applicable departments in ALL risk assessments and formulating mitigation actions for hazards, risk and root causes identified.

3. Safety assurance

3.1 Safety performance monitoring and measurement

3.1.1 Internal audit
- Perform internal audits on applicable departments to assess the effectiveness of the SMS and ERP and identify areas for potential improvement.
- Follow-up and ensure closing of all findings identified from internal audits.

3.1.2 Safety performance monitoring
- Assist, support and oversight on applicable operations in developing Safety Performance Indicators and Targets, as well as proposing necessary actions to maintain the targets.

3.2 The management of change Assist, support and oversight on applicable departments’ management of change process.

3.3 Continuous improvement of the SMS and ERP Assist, support and oversight on the continuous improvement of applicable departments’ SMS and ERP.

4. Safety promotion

4.1 Training and education Assist, support and oversight on applicable departments’ SMS and ERP training and education for all management and non-management personnel.

4.2 Safety communication Assist, support and oversight on applicable departments in communicating safety objectives and procedures, lessons learned from investigations and case histories or experiences and relevant safety related information to all appropriate personnel.

5. OSHE (if applicable) Assist, support and coordinate with applicable departments to ensure compliance to applicable laws, acts, regulations and requirements (example, Occupational Safety and Health Act, Factories and Machinery Act, Environmental Quality Act, etc.)

6. Emergency Response Assist, support, coordinate and oversight to ensure:
‐ Group and AOCs’ Emergency Response Plan are in place ‐ Group and AOCs’ Emergency Response Manual and trainings are updated and valid ‐ Group and AOCs establish a well-organised Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) in the event of an emergency.

‐ Group and AOCs establish an efficient coordination in accordance with CAA / ICAO / IATA requirements during the emergency.

‐ Group and AOCs established other required Centres of activities, for effective utilization in case of Emergency. Such as Terminal Emergency Centres (FFRC, FFHA, SRC, PMA, FAC).

‐ AOCs’ Stations Coordination Centre (SCC) have the Emergency Response Plan with competent work force
