**Account and Operation Clerk**
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Overtime will be provided for travel or vessel attendance on weekends.
**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**
**Field Work (30%)**:
Travel between Penang Port, immigration offices, and the airport as required.
Coordinate with shipping lines, customs officials, and other stakeholders during vessel arrivals and departures.
Attend to any urgent matters that may arise during field visits.
**Bookkeeping and Accounting (70%)**:
Maintain accurate records of shipping transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payment records.
Prepare financial reports related to shipping operations.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Assist in budget preparation and monitoring expenses related to shipping activities.
**Administrative Duties**:
Respond to inquiries from clients regarding shipping schedules and documentation requirements.
Collaborate with team members to streamline shipping processes.
Update databases with relevant shipping information.
**Compliance**:
Ensure all shipments comply with local laws and regulations.
Keep abreast of changes in shipping regulations that may affect operations.
**Additional Responsibilities**:
Provide support during peak periods or when additional manpower is needed.
Participate in training sessions as required by management.
**Qualifications**:
Valid driving license is mandatory.
High school diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics or accounting is a plus.
Previous experience in shipping operations or bookkeeping preferred but not essential.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and accounting software.
Pay: From RM1,700.00 per month
