Our Values - Integrity - Caring - Growth mindset - Deliver "WOW" **Job Summary** Responsible for managing and optimizing all work processes related to Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment in accordance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Management Systems, and to ensure that the Company is in compliance with all regulatory requirements. **_ Key Accountabilities:_** **Environmental** - Manage and optimize effluent treatment system (ETS). - Manage schedule waste disposal. - Lead projects to reduce the amount of schedule waste generated in operations. - Develop and implement pollution control, pollution prevention, and recycling programs. **Occupational health and safety** - Conduct safety and health risk assessment and enforce preventative measures at workplace (HIRARC) - Maintain the Chemical Register and to ensure the chemical management are compliance to Occupational Safety and Health (Use and Standard of Exposure Chemical Hazardous to Health) Regulations 2000 - Coordinate and manage mandatory tests and assessments (CHRA, noise monitoring etc.) - Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation (OSHA, FMA) **Fire Safety** - Manage emergency response team (ERT) - Manage firefighting equipment. - Manage evacuation drills and trainings. **ISO14001 and ISO45001 Management System** - Establish and maintain ISO14001 and ISO45001 management system. - Develop and continually improve policies and procedures related to EHS. - Oversee EHS audit and ensure that all findings and recommendations are promptly addressed by relevant department. - Develop and deliver training to improve awareness and knowledge of all employees in matter related to EHS and fire safety. **Compliance with laws and regulations** - Assess and monitor the Company’s operations, processes and procedures to ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental laws and regulations. - Ensure continual compliance to Fire Services Act 1988 (Act 341) - Liaise with regulatory bodies (DOSH, DOE, Bomba) on matters pertaining to occupational health, safety and environment. **_ REQUIREMENTS:_** - Bachelor’s, professional or master’s degree in health and safety or environmental science. - At least 5 years’ experience in similar position. **_ Knowledges Required:_** - Familiar with Environmental management system (ISO14001:2015) and Occupational Safety and Health Management System (ISO 45001:2018) - Familiar in regulatory requirement on the environment management such as Environmental Quality Act 1974 (Act 127), Environmental Quality (Scheduled Wastes) Regulations 2005, Environmental Quality (Industries Effluent) Regulations 2009, Environmental Quality (Clean Air) Regulations 2014, etc. - Familiar with regulatory requirements on Safety and Health management such as under Factory and Machinery Act 1967 and Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994, etc. - Familiar in waste water treatment plant operation and troubleshooting. **_ Skills Required:_** - Good writing proficiency in English and Malay language. - Computer literate (at least comfortable with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel) - Good in statistical skill - Good presentation skill **_ Licenses & Certifications Required:_** Competence person in - Certified Environmental Professional In Industrial Effluent Treatment System (Physical Chemical Processes) (CePIETSO (PCP)). - Certified Environmental Professional In Industrial Effluent Treatment System (Biological Processes) (CePIETSO (BP)). - Certified Environmental Professional In Scheduled Waste Management (CePSWaM). - Certified Safety Officer by DOSH or NIOSH **_ The job might be suitable for you if you are:_** - Able to learn with growth mindset - Brilliant team leader **_ - ** **_If this isn't the job for you, but perhaps you have a friend who would be a perfect fit.
