1. Develop and Complete Projects

R&D engineers generate ideas for new products, develop prototype, test and validate the prototype until they become real products. Job scope for RTU, PLC & SCADA specialize Engineer included:

- Design panel layouts and wiring diagrams
- Develop and document SCADA and RTU/ PLC programs
- Configure desktop and server PC hardware and OS
- Design and integrate wired and wireless Ethernet and Serial data networks
- Perform site surveys and analysis
- Troubleshoot, analyze, repair, report on, recommend/perform service of SCADA, RTU/PLC, instrumentation, electrical controls, and substation control system
- Perform I/O loop testing, and wire tracing and identification
- Conduct Alpha Test at Customer site, (if necessary)
- Write Close-out report
- Assist in Product Release
- Assist in Product Launch

2. Design Project Plans

R&D engineer design detailed project plans with engineering, manufacturing, and sales and marketing teams to manage all aspects of product development and production.

3. Collaborate

R&D engineers collaborate with engineers and developers to create product designs and with marketing teams to develop sales plans for future products.

4. Writing Technical Documentation

After products have been analyzed and tested, R&D engineers create technical reports to summarize their findings and to highlight ways to improve the project or particular components. Engineers must be able to build, review and update drawings from concept design stage until as built conditions.

Professional Qualification : None

Experience : 2-3 years

Skills:
- Critical thinking skills - design engineers use logic and create systems to solve problems and improve efficiency.
- Software Design Tools - using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-assisted engineering (CAE) software to create prototypes preferably on SOLIDWORK. AutoCAD is a plus.
- Writing skills - to prepare documents for other engineers or colleagues in other departments.
- Initiative - when issues arise, design engineers troubleshoot and take a self-motivated approach to solving problems.
- Teamwork - design engineers generally work with a team of several members, including mechanical engineers, so the ability to work well with colleagues and remain professional is beneficial to creating a successful team environment.
- SCADA System - SCADA system engineer must possess capability on designing, configuring, and deploying the systems in industrial deployment of devices, computers, and instruments that are a part of the SCADA system.

Training : Technical Skill & Soft Skill

Pay: RM3,300.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
