We are seeking for a skilled and dedicated Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. As a DBA, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our database systems to ensure their reliability, performance, and security. **Key Responsibilities**:
1. Database Design and Development:

- Collaborate with software developers and stakeholders to design efficient and logical database structures that meet business requirements.
- Create and manage database objects such as tables, views, indexes, and schemas.

2. Performance Optimization:

- Monitor database performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks to enhance system responsiveness.
- Optimize query execution plans, indexing strategies, and database configurations.

3. Data Security and Integrity:

- Implement and manage security measures to safeguard sensitive data from unauthorized access.
- Monitor and manage data backups, ensuring data recoverability in case of failures.

4. System Maintenance and Upgrades:

- Perform routine maintenance tasks including patching, updates, and version upgrades to keep databases secure and up to date.
- Evaluate and recommend database software and hardware upgrades for improved performance.

5. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:

- Diagnose and address database-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex technical problems.

6. Capacity Planning and Scaling:

- Monitor database growth patterns and plan for scalability to accommodate future data and user demands.
- Implement scaling strategies such as partitioning and sharding when necessary.

7. Documentation and Training:

- Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and best practices.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on database-related topics.

8. Collaboration and Communication:

- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to address database-related concerns.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
- Experience in cloud service like AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL or Microsoft Azure will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in database management systems such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
- Solid understanding of database design principles, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience in data security and backup/recovery solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
