The **Operations Manager** is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the daily operations of the wood pellet manufacturing plant. This role involves ensuring production efficiency, maintaining quality standards, managing the workforce, and meeting safety and environmental regulations. Also, the Operations Manager will focus on strategic planning to improve processes and reduce costs.

**EXPERIENCE**:
The role requires several years of experience in another management and production function, which can include overseeing several operational departments. The Operations Manager must have a proven track record in operation, budgeting, financial management and accurate forecasting.

**Responsibilities**
- Oversee the entire production process, ensuring that wood pellets are manufactured to meet quality and safety standards.
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Recruit, train, and supervise production staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Identify areas for cost reduction and implement strategies to improve profitability.
- Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, quality metrics, and operational challenges to senior management.
- Oversee administrative functions related to operations, including procurement, inventory management, and record-keeping.
- Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, ensuring adequate supply to meet production needs.
- Any other duty/task assigned by the company.
- Manage budget to align with goals of business.

**Education**
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

**Experience**
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in wood pellet production or related industries is highly desirable.

**Qualifications**
- Experience in SQL software is highly desirable.
- At least 5 years in the related field.
- Fluent in English & Bahasa Malaysia.
- Positive attitude, passionate on collaborative teamwork, excel at interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Adaptable to change, able to pivot and find alternate solutions, demonstrated capability in meeting new challenges.
- Good problem solving skills, able to navigate unexpected situations or conditions.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Early shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend jobs
