Safety Risk Management Executive

Job Description
**Functional Responsibility**
The Safety Management Executive is responsible to provide overall support to the Senior Manager Safety Management and the entire department for implementing, maintaining and continuously improving the Safety Management Systems (SMS) program throughout the Group that includes Safety Risk Management, Safety Assurance, Safety Promotion and provide assistance and support across the organization, in accordance to regulatory, company, ICAO and IOSA requirements; and ensure continuous compliance to all applicable local and international regulations and standards, as well as AirAsia Group requirements. The Safety Management Executive shall ensure any other departmental related duties are carried out as and when required by the Senior Manager Safety Management or Chief Safety Officer.

- Ensure transparency and promote good governance
- Develop talents and strengthen staff’s capability; ensure all staff receive appropriate trainings
**Functional Duties**
Ensure, at the same time assist and support Group and AOCs to:
Administration
- Coordinate internal and external safety activities of AirAsia Group as assigned by the Senior Manager Safety Management or Chief Safety Officer.
- Make travel and accommodation arrangements for Group Safety Department personnel and external vendor(s) as required.
- Responsible for the movement of Group Safety Department personnel
- Compile and maintain all records (personnel, training, financial, administrative, MOC, etc.), physical and/or digital.
- Compile and maintain all Safety Data acquired from all sources.
- Ensure safekeeping of confidential reports, data and records.
- Organize, coordinate and prepare for all department and safety meetings (Safety Department meetings, Safety Review meetings, Safety Review Board meetings, etc.).
- Take down and prepare all meeting minutes and distribute to all parties concerned.
- Organize, coordinate and prepare for all types department activities.
- Organize, coordinate and prepare for Safety Promotion activities across AirAsia Group. Example, Regional Safety Conference, Safety Roadshow, etc.
- Organize, coordinate and prepare for any internal and/or external audits.
- Organize, coordinate and prepare for any Safety Investigations.
- Assist in maintaining Safety Libraries.
- Prepare all claims from the department for processing.
- Prepare and advice the Senior Manager Safety Management and Chief Safety Officer on yearly department budget.
Safety Management System
Whenever possible and qualified, assist in overall Group Safety functions and activities, such as:
- Safety Risk Management
- Safety Assurance / audits
- Safety Promotion
- Safety Management System Training
- Safety investigations
- Emergency Response ‐ SMS Documentations
Others
- Attend regular safety meetings, Regional or Group, and Safety Review (SRM, SRB, etc.) meetings.
- Assist all AOCs and relevant departments in ensuring sections of Operations Manuals related to Safety are updated accordingly.
- To carry out the above activities through effective teamwork with other safety department personnel and perform such other reasonable duties as directed by the Senior Manager Safety Management or Chief Safety Officer.
- Under no circumstances, disclose any confidential, sensitive or departmental information to anyone inside or outside the company, without the consent of either the Chief Safety Officer or the CEO/President (e.g. personnel information, investigation or incident reports, etc.)
**Roles Duties**
- Formulate annual plan and budget developments for sub-department to align with department-wide’s strategy including ensue budget adherence to the approved budget
- SOPs development and amendment to ensure all SOPs align with business objectives and regulatory requirement
- Track operating progress and result against annual plan and KPIs to ensure targets are met; develop action plans as needed
- Identify innovations and continuous improvement initiatives and/or opportunities
- Assist Senior Manager Safety Management and Chief Safety Officer in any administrative related matters as and when necessary.
**Traits**
- Sound knowledge of the organization’s operations, procedures and activities
- Broad aviation technical knowledge
- An extensive knowledge of safety management systems (SMS) and have completed appropriate SMS training
- An understanding of risk management principles and techniques to support SMS
- Experience implementing and/or managing SMS
- Experience and qualifications in aviation accident/incident investigation and human factors
- Experience and qualifications in conducting safety/quality audits and inspections
- Sound knowledge of aviation regulatory frameworks, including ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPS) and relevant civil aviation regulations
