**Position Database Developer - Core Systems**

**Department IT**
- Location Singapore, working Australian business hours
- Reporting Structure Reports to the Chief Information Officer

Position Summary The Database Developer - Core Systems is responsible for development and maintenance of the SQL databases of the PhillipCapital core business systems (Global Middle Office, Global Back Office - MS SQL databases). Data Warehouse (MS SQL databases), and IT Support and Administration duties.

The role will act as a conduit between the Singaporean and Australian development teams to leverage the knowledge of the Singapore team to provide core systems support to Australia.

**Roles and Responsibilities.**

Assisting the Chief Information Officer with the design, development and maintenance of core company business systems and data warehousing, including ETL functions via SSIS and reporting functions via SSRS.
- Assisting the Chief Information Officer with enterprise wide system integration and security.
- Producing systems documentation.
- Providing user level support as required.

**Duties**

Co-ordinate operations with the Singapore and Australia based development teams
- Supporting existing Data Warehouse functions
- Assisting with website content management
- Creating and maintaining knowledge base articles
- Completion of tasks assigned by the Chief Information Officer

**Requirements**:
**Required Skills and Attributes**

A good understanding of the following development languages
- MS SQL including SSIS and SSRS
- PowerShell scripting
- Attention to detail and desire to probe further into data
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- An analytical mind with good problem solving skills
- Commercial and business awareness
- The ability to communicate complex procedures to other colleagues
- Able to communicate effectively over the phone and in person.
- Able to write clearly and concisely using IT industry terminology.
- Have good customer service skills
- Able to deal with potentially difficult/time critical situations or users.
- Able to work in a fast changing environment which will require flexibility and quick learning.
- A team player that is able to work independently when required.
