Assistant of Enrichment

The Assistant of Enrichment is pivotal in providing strategic leadership and coordination for various co-curricular activities, including sports, performing arts, events, meal plan management, locker management, clubs (eco-school, interact club and other clubs), enrichment programmes and entrepreneurship programmes. This position involves overseeing programme development, fostering a positive and inclusive culture, and collaborating with stakeholders to create a vibrant student co-curricular experience. Report and assist the Deputy Principal of Enrichment.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Departmental Leadership**:

- Provide visionary leadership to the co-curriculum and enrichment department, overseeing sports, performing arts, events, enrichment programmes and various clubs.
- Work with the Head of the Sports Department and Head of the Performing Department to foster a positive and collaborative culture within the departments, promoting creativity, teamwork, and a commitment to holistic student development.
- Keep documentation updated for accreditation purposes.
- Provide relevant training for the staff to learn and improve on enrichment provision.
- Plan and oversee the school's calendar, liaising with other departments to plan and schedule key events.
- **Programmes Development and Management**:

- Develop and implement cohesive and comprehensive annual co-curricular programmes encompassing sports, performing arts, events, trips and diverse club activities.
- Collaborate with departmental staff to design, organise, and oversee various events, performances, and club initiatives.
- To explore, develop and manage new activities and events for students to participate in and enrich their profile.
- Ensure all enrichment trips and activities comply with school policies, including preparing necessary visit forms and risk assessments.
- **Club Coordination**:

- Oversee the planning and execution of activities for various clubs.
- Exercise quality control of both internal and external activities of clubs.
- Work closely with club advisors and student leaders to ensure each club's objectives align with the institution's values and goals.
- **Student Engagement and Support**:

- Create a supportive, inclusive environment that encourages student participation and promotes personal growth and leadership.
- Implement strategies to monitor and support students' academic progress and well-being in co-curricular activities, including clubs.
- To provide support in monitoring student attendance for the activity programmes and develop strategies to address poor attendance.
- **Budget Management**:

- Develop and manage the budget for the co-curriculum and enrichment departments, ensuring efficient use of resources for sports, performing arts, events, and club activities.
- Seek external funding opportunities and sponsorships to support departmental and club initiatives.
- **Community Engagement**:

- Collaborate with parents, community members, and external organisations to enhance the co-curricular experience and create community involvement opportunities, raising the school's profile and enriching its provision through meaningful partnerships that provide educational value.
- Represent the institution at relevant community events and activities.
- Actively promote community cohesion throughout the school to ensure students and staff take their social responsibility seriously now and in the future.
- **Entrepreneurship Initiatives**:

- Oversee entrepreneurship-related programmes and initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation and creativity among students.
- Collaborate with local businesses, mentors, and industry professionals to provide valuable opportunities for student entrepreneurs.
- **Meal Plan/Canteen Management**:

- Develop and manage the institution's meal plan and canteen services, ensuring the provision of nutritious and diverse food options for students.
- Collaborate with food service vendors, monitor budgetary considerations, and address dietary needs and preferences.
- **Locker Management**:

- Oversee the management and allocation of lockers to students, ensuring a fair and efficient system.
- Implement and enforce locker usage policies to maintain a safe and organised environment.

Qualifications:

- A bachelor's degree in education, sports management, performing arts, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within education, co-curricular programmes and enrichment, or related fields.
- Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in sports, performing arts, events, and club management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including students, parents, teachers and staff.
- Ability to motivate students and encourage them to participate in co-curriculum and enrichment activities.

Pay: RM1,453.33 - RM4,500.00 per month
