To study and improve the machine setup time from time to time to reduce the total machine hours.
- Provide guidance and able to train the Machinist - Setter on machining knowledge and skills.
- Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Involved in the product realization process by carrying out certified activities that comply with internally defined configurations, processes, and requirements.
- Involved in product/ process quality control by carrying out quality checking throughout the product realization process.
- Carry out the job assigned by the departmental lead and support overtime whenever requested to meet the output target.
- Work closely with the departmental lead to ensure departmental KPI, company policy, EHS policy, and Quality objective can be met.
- To ensure effective NC control, Part identification, and traceability in the production line.
- Provide support in overall company improvement activities.
- To coordinate and solve any technical problem within your knowledge in order to get the job done on time.
- To analyse and work independently on technical drawing, calculation, setup, process, method, machine operations, tools, and equipment.
- Perform duties assigned by the departmental lead and support overtime whenever requested to meet targeted output.
- Troubleshoots mechanical equipment problems and ensures compliance to manufacturer specifications.
- Responsible for training, evaluating, motivating, and disciplining staff.
- Proactively identifies process and technical improvements that will minimize incidents and disruptions, reduce costs, and improve capacity and availability.
- Provide feedback and highlight any production issue or product abnormality to the Departmental Lead for further disposition.
- Any other task assigned by the Superior.

Job Requirements:

- Certificate or Diploma in any related field
- 3+ years of related experience required.
- Must be able to operate CNC lathe and CNC milling machine, setting and programming.
- Must be able to lead a team and able to work in shift
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Sound people-leading & team-building skills
- Good team player and able to work under pressure
- Maintain an environment of openness, trust, and integrity.
