**Backup Administrator - Mid-level /Junior Level**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Monitor scheduled backup jobs and troubleshoot issues on **server and client sides**:

- Work with Backup and Restoration teams and relevant parties to resolve issues on platforms like **Oracle, SQL Server, Windows, VMware, and UNIX servers**:

- Make recommendations for improvements and/or new systems to meet business needs and future capacity
- Create and update documentation, including **daily and weekly backup reports**:

- Create **Incident and Change request tickets** via ITSM (e.g., Remedy)
- Provide **24x7 rotating on-call support**:

- Perform system activities during off-peak hours (patching, upgrades, server shutdowns)
- Review and update business **SLA documents**:

- Participate in annual **Disaster Recovery drills** for Backup and Restoration Team

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in **Computer Science** or related discipline
- 2 years of relevant experience in Backup and Storage technologies
- ITIL Foundation or higher is a plus
- Self-motivated, quick learner, and able to work under pressure
- Good written and verbal communication skills in **English**; **Mandarin/Cantonese** is a plus
- Knowledge of **Storage technologies** is advantageous
- Willingness to work **night shifts and public holidays**

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month

**Experience**:

- Oracle, SQL Server, Windows, VMware, and UNIX servers: 1 year (preferred)
- Backup and Storage technologies: 1 year (required)
- ITIL Foundation or higher: 1 year (preferred)
- Storage technologies: 1 year (preferred)
- TSM, Netbackup, Networker, Data Protector, : 1 year (preferred)
- Backup Exec, VEAAM Backup: 2 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- Mandarin (preferred)
