**LOCATION**

This role can be based in any AstraZeneca Asia Area office locations.

**What you’ll do**

As the Asia Area Commercial Director, Vaccines, you will:

- Lead the commercialization of vaccines products and drive flawless execution across the Asia Area markets
- Work closely with multiple stakeholders including the Asia Area region, the International Commercial team and the Global Commercial team to ensure alignment of the commercial objectives
- Collaborate with the cross functional teams at Asia Area level and in the markets on launch readiness; defining pre-launch and launch activities for vaccines products to drive and deliver launch performance across markets
- Ensure optimal positioning for vaccines products vis a vis external stakeholders, including governments and payors to achieve patient and business goals and objectives
- Ensure timely and equitable supply to our region, working closely with our Regulatory and Supply Chain teams
- Drive patient centricity and innovation through all aspects of vaccines products’ global commercialization and marketing programs
- Appropriately manage governance interactions and alignment across senior and regional leadership, cross-functional teams, and other key stakeholders to provide well-coordinated input into critical business decisions
**Essential for the role**
- You have a bachelor’s degree is required with scientific experience, preferably with an advanced degree (e.g. MBA)
- Proven success in an above market role, preferably in Asia or emerging markets
- Solid vaccines and infectious diseases knowledge
- Strong business and financial acumen with successful regional and local market product launch experience
- Demonstrated influencing skills and stakeholder management
- Experience in working in a matrix environment with the agility to work across different countries and cultures
- Experience managing and engaging with teams remotely
**Desirable for the role**
- Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills, demonstrating flexibility and a proven ability to deal with complexity under high intensity and time pressure situations
- Experience and effectiveness in the presentation of written and verbal business cases to the senior management
- A flexible, team orientated attitude, willing to contribute one’s own skills to deliver AZ priority projects
