**Responsibilities**:

- The role of Optician is to dispense and fit spectacles and other optical aids, to both adults and children, working from the prescriptions written by optometrists and ophthalmologists. You'll advise patients on various types of lenses and spectacle frames, including style, weight and colour.
- Among some of the Responsibilities of Optician are:

- Review prescriptions. Operate manual lensometer and other tools to achieve proper
- fittings for patients. Educate patients on their corrective lens options and help them
- make a choice that fits their optical needs as well as lifestyle preferences. Provide
- honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frames. Achieve sales
- goals and quotas as determined by Company while attending to patients’ specific needs
- and desires. Manage inventory of frames and contact lenses to ensure optimum
- customer satisfaction and product variety. Communicate with Physician / Optometrist
- with questions or concerns about prescriptions and other eye-related issues.
- This position requires you to,- Possess a certificate from Fellow of British Dispensing Optician (FBDO).
- Experience with both contact lenses and glasses.
- Ability to operate lensometers and other equipment.
- Excellent customer service and sales skills required.
- We believe you can cope well with working stress and maintain professionalism in serving high profile customers.
- You are able to work interactively and cooperatively as a team.
- Language requirement for the job are English and Bahasa Malaysia. Chinese language and local dialects are added advantage.
