**Barista duties and responsibilities:

Though Baristas are mainly responsible for making and serving beverages to customers, they can have other responsibilities. A Barista’s usual duties are:

- Greeting customers in a friendly manner and taking food and drink orders
- Preparing and serving beverages, ranging from simple to elaborate ones
- Preparing and serving drinks
- Answering customers’ questions about menu choices
- Promoting and recommending menu options to customers
- Taking payment from customers
- Maintaining inventory and equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting and scheduling repairs
- Keeping the work environment sanitary and organized
- Evaluating and modifying processes to improve efficiency and quality of service
- Working to attract new customers and expanding the menu

**Barista skills and qualifications**

Baristas need a variety of skills to memorize drink recipes, learn how to operate equipment and provide efficient customer service. A good Barista should:

- Listen well and communicate in a professional and friendly manner
- Focus on customer satisfaction
- Practice basic safety procedures with respect to equipment and handling hot/chilled beverages
- Be efficient and organized
- Build good relationships with customers
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Keep supplies replenished to minimize downtime

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: RM1,500.00 - RM2,500.00 per month

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Rotational shift
- Weekend jobs

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Yearly bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Sri Hartamas: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (preferred)
