**Job Summary**:
A Clinic Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of a healthcare clinic by providing administrative and clinical assistance. They are responsible for ensuring patients receive excellent care by managing appointments, maintaining patient records, assisting healthcare professionals, and ensuring the clinic is well-organized and clean.

**Key Responsibilities:1. Patient Care and Assistance**:

- Greet and assist patients upon arrival.
- Schedule and manage patient appointments.
- Assist patients with paperwork, registration, and insurance claims.
- Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare them for examinations.
- Provide basic patient care, such as checking vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure) under the supervision of a nurse or physician.

**2. Administrative Duties**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health systems.
- Handle billing and insurance claim processes.
- Order and manage supplies and equipment inventory.

**3. Clinical Support**:

- Prepare examination rooms by ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist physicians and nurses during patient examinations and procedures as needed.
- Administer basic tests and measurements, such as taking blood pressure, weight, and height.
- Help with sterilizing and maintaining medical instruments and equipment.
- Collect and prepare lab specimens (blood, urine) for processing if required.

**4. Compliance and Safety**:

- Follow all clinic protocols and procedures to maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
- Ensure that the clinic is compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Properly dispose of medical waste and ensure the clinic environment is clean and safe.
- Assist in managing infection control protocols.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Education**: High School Diploma or GED; certification in medical assisting is preferred.
- **Experience**: Previous experience in a medical clinic or healthcare setting is an advantage.
- **Skills**:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) software.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with medical billing and insurance processes is a plus.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Occasional lifting of medical equipment or assisting with patient mobility.
- Ability to perform tasks that require manual dexterity (e.g., operating medical instruments).

**Work Environment**:

- The clinic assistant typically works in a healthcare facility, which may include exposure to patients with various health conditions.
- Must be able to maintain professionalism under stressful situations.
- May require flexible hours, including weekends or evenings, depending on clinic hours.

**Job Type**: Internship

Pay: RM300.00 - RM600.00 per month
