Assistant QA Manager

**Job Summary**

The **Quality Assurance (QA) Manager** is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of quality within the manufacturing operations. This role ensures full compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations while driving continuous improvement initiatives. The QA Manager provides leadership to quality engineers and inspectors, fostering a culture of operational excellence, defect prevention, and product reliability.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead, mentor, and develop the **QA** and **Process Quality Engineering** teams to achieve company quality objectives.
- Oversee **in-process** and **final quality control** activities to ensure consistent product conformance, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage **Material Review Board (MRB)** processes, ensuring timely review, disposition, and proper documentation of non-conforming materials and products.
- Collaborate closely with **Production**, **Engineering**, **Planning**, and **Supply Chain** teams to resolve quality issues and drive sustainable process improvements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain **Quality Management Systems (QMS)** in accordance with **ISO 9001**, **IATF 16949**, or equivalent standards.
- Prepare and present comprehensive **quality performance reports, metrics, and dashboards** to senior management, highlighting trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Lead **root cause analysis**, **corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)**, and continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate defects and enhance process capability.
- Ensure **audit readiness** and compliance with internal, customer, and regulatory quality requirements.
- Champion **continuous improvement** projects focused on enhancing quality performance, operational efficiency, and product reliability.

**Education & Qualification Requirements**
- **Bachelor’s Degree** in **Engineering**, **Quality Management**, or a related technical discipline.
- **Professional certifications** such as **Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)** or **Six Sigma Black Belt** are highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of **quality systems, methodologies, and regulatory standards**.
- Excellent **communication, leadership, and presentation** skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
- Proven **leadership, negotiation, and analytical** capabilities in managing cross-functional teams and complex quality challenges.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

**Working Experience Requirements**
- Minimum **7-10 years** of quality assurance experience in a **manufacturing environment**.
- At least **3-5 years** in a **managerial or supervisory** role leading quality or engineering teams.
- Proven track record in **MRB management**, **in-process quality control**, and **QMS implementation**.

**Skills & Knowledge Requirements**
- Proficient in quality tools and methodologies, including **FMEA**, **SPC**, **MSA**, **8D**, **PDCA**, and **Root Cause Analysis**.
- In-depth knowledge of **ISO 9001**, **IATF 16949**, or other recognized **quality management systems**.
- Strong **analytical and data-driven** approach with sound **problem-solving** and **decision-making** abilities.
- Effective **interpersonal and collaboration** skills to build strong relationships across functions and levels.

Pay: RM12,000.00 - RM18,000.00 per month
