**RESPONSIBILITIES OF A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER**
- Promoting Approved Lift Consultants Sdn Bhd (ALCSB) and its related companies’ products and services.
- Finding and developing new markets and increasing company sales.
- Check all media (web + print) for latest cases needing ALCSB’s services and conduct searches to find new clients.
- Negotiate prices, confirm assignments, and ensure full payment is collected on time.
- Fully responsible for collections for your deals.
- Conduct sales and case presentations independently or with consultants/specialists’ teams.
- Provide market intelligence on competitors by gathering current marketplace information on their pricing, services, techniques & delivery schedules.
- Drafting quotes and proposals for clients.
- Resolves client complaints by investigating, developing solutions, and making recommendations to management.
- Entertaining clients upon prior approval (including after working hours - as & when the need arises).
- Increasing the value of current clients (cross-selling) while attracting new clients.
- Expanding the market to find new opportunities.
- Discuss with clients on current jobs and encourage them to engage ALCSB.
- Weekly report to management on sales activities.
- Attend to the weekly sales meeting.
- Database to be updated periodically and communicated with ALCSB via Pipe drive.
**COMMUNICATION**
Ensure a constant flow of information (communication frequency as per SOP) between clients and management, both verbal and in writing.
**LEADERSHIP**
- Planning prior to client visit
- Plan and execute sales
- Debrief the management after the client visit
- Discuss case development with team members
**PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT**
- Write identified relevant articles for publication
