Job Description

1. Laboratory tasks which include prepare sample, testing, measuring, recording and analyzing results in chemical analysis.

2. Operate and maintain lab equipment including troubleshoot or report on malfunctions

3. Data recording and filling of analysis results

4. To develop and establish new test methods and ensure proper maintenance of the method development and validation document in chemical laboratory.

5. To prepare SOP/work instruction for methods of analysis and laboratory equipment and instruments operating work instruction and other relevant documents and control the documents in accordance with the document control procedure.

6. To troubleshoot and provide solutions to chemical testing problem.

7. To prepare purchase request of glassware, reagents and apparatus required for chemical testing.

8. To maintain and control inventory of chemical laboratory glassware, reagents, spare parts and apparatus in chemcal laboratory.

9. To ensure that all testing instruments and apparatus are correctly utilized and maintained.

10. To ensure that all measurement equipment are calibrated as per schedule and proper maintenance of the records.

12. To ensure that all documents in chemical laboratory are updated and complies to ISO and other SOP requirements.

13. To participate in periodic internal, external audit and all other inspections to ensure effective implementation of all procedures and standards throughout the entire operation.

15. Responsible on handling and investigating of OOS event, change control and deviation.

16. Supervise, coach and conduct training and evaluation of staff to carry out lab analysis, and other laboratory functions in a safe, accurate, effective and competent manner.

17. Organize external laboratory testing/collaboration works with external laboratories & universities.

18. Maintain and ensure a clean and safe laboratory environment and workplace

19. Any other duties as assigned by the superior.

Job Requirement

2. Preferably at least 2 to 3 years working experience in a laboratory/technical position in a, chemical/pharmaceutical/medical devices/food manufacturing industries/commercial/public laboratory or equivalent.

3. Good knowledge in laboratory skills.

4. Knowledge of regulatory and quality system requirements - GMP, HACCP and ISO Quality Management Systems and procedures will be an added advantage.

5. Good analytical and communication skills.

6. Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.

7. Ability to work in a team environment and independently in a flexible work environment with changing priorities.

8. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point & etc.
